Wage & Hour Rights and Responsibilities
Wage Payment: Employee rights consist of:- Pay for all incomes made (INFO # 3) at the rate accepted by the employer and staff member.
– Pay of at least base pay (INFO # 1), the applicable Colorado or regional base pay, and all earned overtime wages without impermissible deductions from their incomes;.
– Pay of all earned incomes without impermissible reductions (INFO # 16).
Labor Statutes, Rules, & Published Guidance
Statutes & Rules: DLSS implements a lot of Colorado’s wage and hour and other kinds of labor statutes and labor guidelines, employment consisting of the Colorado Wage Act, the Colorado Overtime and Minimum Pay Standards (” COMPS Order”), and the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Written Demands, Complaints, & Investigations
Demands & Complaints for Wages: If an employer owes you wages, you can send your employer a written demand for payment of earnings by mail, email, text message, or other electronic methods. A written need may be sent out to the company at the exact same time a Labor Standards Complaint Form for unsettled incomes is submitted with the Division. Employer Responses in Investigations: Once a complete Labor Standards Complaint Form is gotten and examined, a letter discussing the nature of the problem and the amounts alleged to be owed is sent out to the employer.
