The multifunctional Spee-D® Channel Drain Bottom Outlet Assembly features a 7 inch channel that comes with a prefastened grate to cut down installation time. Bottom outlet connects to 3 inch and 4 inch sewer and drain fittings. Channel is made of polyvinyl chloride and connects with a coupling; grate is made of polyethylene treated with UV inhibitors. The Spee-D Channel, part of the NDS Profile Channel series, is ideal for draining moderate flows from driveways, patios, pool areas, courtyards, and walkways with a 16.8 sq. inch/ft. open surface area, 51 GPM/ft. flow rate. Channel drains, also called trench drains, are long, narrow drains and as part of a complete drainage system, collect water from surrounding surfaces and direct it away to drain pipe. The water is carried to a discharge point downstream such as a pop-up emitter, or to percolate into the ground with a dry well or infiltration trench. NDS channel and trench drains are designed for durability, drainage, and performance, and are a proven alternative to traditional concrete drains.
